ALIENS VS. PREDATOR XBOX 360 PREVIEW |
|
| |
Sega starts
on a good note in the first quarter of 2010 as
it releases a slew of attractive titles
including Bayonetta and After Burner Climax for
the Xbox 360. Among the lineup of games that are
making their way to the final stages, Aliens vs.
Predator has brought us to our knees with its
cinematic gesture. What grabs our attention
initially is the concept of war that has been
going on between these two species - And we
wanted to see how gamers can take part in a
role. Developer Rebellion takes on the job of
bringing back the rudiments of the blockbuster
film and attempts to expand on the brute image:
become the hunter or be hunted. Aliens vs.
Predator is a first-person shooter that
basically revolves around hunting and surviving
in the deadly jungles (and swamps) surrounding
the damned colony of Freya’s Prospect. The role
you play depends on the classification you
select, which includes the Marine, the Predator,
and of course, the Aliens.
As the Marine, you’ll go through a number of
claustrophobic and terrifying experiences where
light is your only friend that will deliver you
out of the darkest hour. Also, you are
humanity’s last line of defense, and as such you
are armed to the teeth with the very latest in
high explosive and automatic weaponry. As the
Predator, you will stalk from the shadows and
from above, passing athletically through the
treetops to ambush your victims. Although
equipped with an array of powerful, exotic
weapons and tracking equipment, honor ultimately
dictates that you must get in close and take
your trophies face to face. As the most deadly
species in the universe, the Alien offers you
the chance to play as the very stuff of
nightmares - the monster in the dark swarming
forward with countless others, jaws like a steel
trap and claws like blades. So far, Aliens vs.
Predator is coming along well. It is expected to
come out February 16, 2010. |
