The long-awaited installment of the next Need for Speed game is just around the corner and Electronic Arts has revealed some very enticing details with their upcoming racer. The title is Need for Speed Undercover and it will feature an all-new “Heroic Driving Engine”, a technology that generates incredible high-performance moves at 180 miles per hour during intense highway battles. There is also an all-new multiplayer mode, Cops and Robbers. This visceral team-based mode pits two teams of four players against each other in the ultimate battle-royale. Robbers must pick up the package and take it to the drop-off point while the cops attempt to prevent the delivery. Each game consists of two rounds giving the players the chance to play as cops and robbers. Of course, there are other multiplayer racing options, where up to eight players can show off their driving prowess in sprint and circuit race modes.
Need for Speed Uncover will also feature 80 miles of open highways, intelligent AI, realistic driving physics, real-world damage, and the series’ signature car customization. The game includes some of the hottest licensed cars to hit the road such as the Audi R8, BMW M6, and Lexus IS-F. The part that’s going to make Need for Speed Uncover appealing again is the fact that Black Box, a studio of Electornic Arts, is going back to its roots by implementing a more aggressive and intelligent cops whose sole purpose is to take down the player quickly and by any means necessary. With cops being stationed behind the scene, you can definitely expect some high-speed, high-stake chase sequences that will only push you towards high-energy action driving experience. This is what fans of Need for Speed are waiting for.
