Activision is aiming to bridge two James Bond films – Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace – in their upcoming action game for the Xbox 360. The bridging process will take in the form of timeline where Bond shuffles between prominent scenes from each movie to keep you on your toes. Judging from what we have seen so far, the game is already packing heat! There is an excellent balance between action and shooting sequences. This is the first James Bond game that introduces a more lethal and cunningly efficient Bond, combining stealth, precision shooting, and deadly combat skills into one cinematic experience of international espionage.
Players will engage in both first-person and third-person gameplay depending on the combat scenario. In addition, players will be applying spy tactics such as silent take downs and quick cover in order to progress through the missions. Expect AI to be alert and reactive whether you’re performing covert missions or confronting enemies in full force. The shooting mechanics will be based on Call of Duty 4 engine that has been specifically engineered to immerse players in the Bond universe. One aspect that will give this game more appeal is the extra multiplayer option, which gives gamers the ability to battle online in a variety of modes. Quantum of Solace is slated for November 4, 2008, just in time for the movie release.
